Outsystems Solutions Architect

Job Type: Permanent Build a brilliant future with Hiscox Role Overview Hiscox is expanding its OutSystems capability through the OutSystems Centre of Excellence (CoE). This role combines hands-on engineering, solution architecture and technical leadership, helping design and deliver scalable, secure and maintainable applications using OutSystems Developer Cloud (ODC). About You You are an experienced OutSystems professional capable of translating complex business requirements into enterprise-grade solutions. You can influence technical direction, mentor engineers and work across architecture, integration and platform teams. Key Responsibilities • Lead solution architecture and application design using OutSystems ODC • Define technical standards, reusable patterns and engineering best practices • Design integrations using REST APIs, event-driven patterns and Azure services • Lead code reviews and architecture reviews • Support DevOps, CI/CD and lifecycle management practices • Ensure security, resilience, scalability and performance requirements are met • Mentor engineers and contribute to CoE assets and accelerators • Collaborate with Solution Architects, Platform Engineering and delivery teams Essential Skills & Experience • Strong experience with OutSystems (ODC preferred) • Strong software architecture and system integration experience • Experience with REST APIs and distributed systems • Azure knowledge including PaaS and serverless services • CI/CD and DevOps experience • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills Desirable Skills • OutSystems Professional or Expert Certification • Experience in regulated environments • Microservices and event-driven architecture experience Why Hiscox? 35-hour working week with hybrid working model 27 days annual leave plus Hiscox Days Private health insurance Gym allowance Pension plan One month paid sabbatical after 5 years Learning and career development opportunities Work with amazing people and be part of a unique culture
