WE ARE HIRING: Assistant Sales Manager – Public Sector Location: Colombo, Sri Lanka Employment Type: Full-time Working Type: Onsite / Field Working Days & Time: Monday to Friday | 8.30 a.m. – 5.30 p.m. Industry: Public Sector Sales / Government Solutions Role Overview We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Assistant Sales Manager – Public Sector to support sales growth within government ministries, state institutions, and public-sector organizations. This role focuses on strengthening existing public-sector relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and supporting the end-to-end sales process including tenders, proposals, and client engagement. Key Responsibilities Assist in developing and executing sales strategies targeting government and public-sector institutions. Maintain and expand strong relationships with existing public-sector clients. Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the public sector. Support the preparation of proposals, tenders, quotations, and presentations. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely solution delivery and post-sales support. Conduct market research on industry trends, competitor activity, and procurement processes. Track sales performance and generate reports to support target achievement. Participate in promotional activities, meetings, and public-sector engagement events. Qualifications & Experience Minimum G.C.E. A/L qualification; Degree or professional qualification in Sales, Marketing, or Business Management is an advantage. 2–4 years of experience in sales or business development (public-sector sales experience is a strong advantage). Strong understanding of government procurement processes and tender procedures. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to build long-term professional relationships. Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools. Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities. Age preferably below 35 years. Ready to Take Your Career to New Heights?
