Senior Devops Engineer

Required skills: Linux, Azure DevOps, Ansible, Microsoft Azure, Python, Bash, Docker We're seeking experienced DevOps Engineer's to join a growing technology team responsible for supporting and modernising a suite of business critical applications. This is a hands-on engineering position where you'll play a key role in driving automation, improving platform reliability, and delivering modern DevOps practices across a complex global environment. You'll work closely with developers, QA engineers, infrastructure teams, architects as well as Quantitative Traders to streamline software delivery, containerise applications, and enhance cloud native capabilities. The role offers significant ownership, autonomy and the opportunity to influence the future state of a large-scale technology platform. Key Responsibilities - Design, build and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines - Develop Infrastructure as Code and automation solutions - Create and maintain Ansible playbooks and deployment tooling - Support and optimise Kubernetes-based platforms - Containerise and modernise existing applications - Automate operational processes to improve efficiency and reliability - Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, deployment and application issues - Collaborate with development teams to improve software delivery practices - Drive platform stability, performance and operational excellence - Support a highly available, business-critical production environment Required Skills & Experience - Strong Linux administration and engineering experience - Hands-on expertise with Ansible - Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration (Docker) - Knowledge of Docker, Podman and/or OpenShift - Strong CI/CD experience, ideally with Azure DevOps - Experience building and managing deployment pipelines - Proficiency in scripting with Bash, Python or Groovy - Solid understanding of networking, infrastructure and system administration - Experience working in DevOps, Platform Engineering or SRE environments - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Desirable Experience - Azure cloud experience - Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform - Monitoring and observability platforms - Enterprise-scale transformation or migration projects - Financial services, trading or highly regulated environments - Experience supporting high-availability production systems What You'll Get - Opportunity to work on large-scale modernisation programmes - Exposure to cloud-native technologies and platform engineering practices - Ownership of business-critical systems and infrastructure - Collaborative engineering culture focused on automation and innovation - Clear progression opportunities within a growing technology function - Flexible hybrid working model
