AI Engineer | Microsoft Copilot Studio & Azure AI Foundry Location: Johannesburg hybrid 3 days in the office Employment Type: Independent contract ending December 2026 We are looking for an AI Engineer to design, build and deploy scalable AI-driven solutions using Microsoft Copilot Studio and Azure AI Foundry . This is an exciting opportunity to work on Generative AI, AI agents, RAG pipelines and enterprise AI integrations , helping automate business processes and deliver innovative AI use cases. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop AI agents and copilots using Microsoft Copilot Studio Build AI solutions and orchestration pipelines using Azure AI Foundry Develop agent-based architectures, multi-step workflows and GenAI solutions Build and optimise RAG pipelines Integrate AI solutions with enterprise systems through APIs, connectors, microservices and data platforms Deploy AI agents across Microsoft Teams and Power Platform Implement security, governance, monitoring and responsible AI practices Optimise model performance, cost and response accuracy Mentor team members and contribute to AI frameworks and best practices Must-Have Experience: 1–3 years hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio 1–3 years hands-on experience with Azure AI Foundry Experience building and deploying AI/ML or Generative AI solutions Experience with AI agents / conversational AI Strong Python and API integration skills Experience with Prompt Engineering, RAG, model evaluation and tuning Knowledge of Azure, SQL, APIs and data lakes Experience with GitHub, CI/CD, DevOps and Agile/SAFe If you have hands-on experience with Copilot Studio + Azure AI Foundry and are passionate about building enterprise AI solutions, we'd love to hear from you
