MS Fabric Data Architect Engineer

Job Title: Microsoft Fabric Data Architect / Engineer Overview We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Fabric Data Architect / Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of an enterprise data platform. This role will advance analytics, AI enablement, business intelligence, governance, and scalable data engineering across the organization. Key Responsibilities Data Architecture and Engineering Architect and implement end-to-end data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, including Data Factory, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Real-Time Intelligence, and OneLake. Design and manage structured and unstructured data using Delta Lake, shortcuts, medallion architecture, and scalable ETL/ELT patterns. Develop data marts and trusted semantic models optimized for Power BI, AI solutions, and natural-language analytics. Build data transformation and processing solutions using PySpark, Spark SQL, Python, T-SQL, and appropriate Fabric or Azure analytical services. AI Enablement and Data Agents Design, configure, test, publish, and support Microsoft Fabric Data Agents for enterprise use cases. Connect Data Agents to Fabric Lakehouses, Warehouses, Power BI semantic models, SQL databases, mirrored databases, and Fabric ontologies. Define business terminology, ontologies, metadata, descriptions, example queries, and agent instructions to improve the accuracy of analytics and natural-language interactions. Integrate Azure OpenAI, Fabric AI capabilities, Azure AI Services, retrieval-augmented generation, machine learning, and predictive analytics where appropriate. Governance, Security, and DevOps Implement Microsoft Purview and OneLake governance capabilities for cataloging, lineage, classification, business glossaries, stewardship, access control, and sensitivity labeling. Establish Azure DevOps CI/CD processes for Fabric and Azure deployments using Git, automated testing, deployment pipelines, and environment promotion. Performance and Platform Strategy Optimize the performance, reliability, and scalability of data pipelines, models, and queries. Guide workspace strategy, tenant configuration, security, and capacity planning in alignment with Microsoft best practices. Collaboration Partner with IT teams, including database and infrastructure specialists, to align architecture and operations with organizational standards. Work with business stakeholders to define requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and support successful adoption. Required Qualifications
