WE ARE HIRING : Account Controller Location: Sri Lanka Employment Type: Full-time Company Industry: Apparel Role Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Account Controller to oversee financial reporting, compliance, and accounting operations within a dynamic apparel manufacturing environment. This role focuses on ensuring accurate financial management, strengthening internal controls, and supporting business decision-making through financial insights. Key Responsibilities Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Ensure compliance with IFRS / LKAS and internal policies Review general ledger, trial balance, and journal entries Manage month-end and year-end closing processes Oversee balance sheet accounts and reconciliations Monitor key financial areas including inventory, receivables, and payables Maintain fixed and intangible asset registers and ensure accurate depreciation Coordinate with internal and external auditors and handle audit requirements Support tax computations and statutory compliance Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Identify process improvements and enhance financial systems Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights Candidate Profile Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Professional qualification such as CA / ACCA / CIMA will be an added advantage Minimum 5+ years of experience in a similar accounting or finance role Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (IFRS / LKAS) Proficiency in MS Excel and data analysis Experience with ERP and accounting systems Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Good communication and stakeholder management skills Ready to take your career to new heights?
