Senior Commercial Counsel

We are looking for a pragmatic Senior Commercial Counsel to join Enva’s in‑house legal team in Ireland. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders across the business, leading on a broad range of commercial, regulatory, and corporate matters across Ireland and the UK. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who is comfortable operating autonomously, balancing risk and opportunity, and translating legal requirements into practical, business‑friendly solutions. Key Responsibilities Commercial Contracts Reviewing, revising and negotiating a wide variety of customer, supplier and strategic commercial contracts. Providing pragmatic, commercially focused legal solutions across operational and strategic activities. Supporting major capital investment and infrastructure projects across the Group. Developing and maintaining contract templates, playbooks and guidance notes to drive consistency and efficiency for our commercial teams. Corporate Supporting the Group’s strategic growth agenda including acquisitions, disposals, integration activity and development projects. Supporting major transformation initiatives and business change programmes across the Group. Supporting corporate governance matters. Providing post-deal integration support. Coordinating external legal advisers and ensuring commercially pragmatic transaction management. Compliance & Regulatory Advising on environmental, regulatory and operational compliance matters. Maintaining and developing Group policies, controls and governance procedures. Risk Management Supporting the development of enterprise risk management and governance controls across the Group. Maintaining oversight of key legal, regulatory and commercial risks. Disputes Advising on contentious matters involving customers, suppliers and other stakeholders. Managing relationships with external counsel in relation to litigation and disputes. Supporting on Employee Relations issues. Data Privacy & Property Supporting the Group’s IT and operational teams on data protection and privacy matters. Assisting with property related legal matters across Ireland and the UK. #ijadvantage Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Qualified solicitor in Ireland and/or the UK with 3+ years’ PQE gained in either private practice or in-house. Broad commercial experience, including drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts Strong understanding of one or more of the following areas: general commercial law, corporate law, environmental law/regulation, property law. Exposure to acquisitions, disposals and property law issues beneficial Strong commercial judgement with the ability to balance legal risk against operational and strategic objectives. Comfortable operating in a hands-on environment with broad responsibility Experience within infrastructure, industrial, environmental services, energy, utilities or similarly regulated sectors would be advantageous.
