QA Engineer

As a Medior QA Engineer , you will join a team responsible for ensuring the quality of software used by international Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) brands to manage their day-to-day operations. Our platform includes eCommerce applications, a browser-based POS system, Android and iOS mobile applications, backend services, APIs and external integrations . You will work across different parts of a complex business system and take ownership of quality from requirements analysis through release verification. In this role, you will work across functional testing, API and database verification, test automation and release validation . We expect you to independently plan testing, investigate issues, contribute to our Cypress-based automation suite and support deployments to both test and customer environments. We are currently evolving our QA processes towards a more technical, automation-focused and AI-assisted approach . You will be expected not only to use modern AI tools in everyday QA work, but also to actively look for ways to improve testing, automation and engineering workflows with their support. You will work closely with Developers, Product Owners and other QA Engineers, and actively contribute to improving test coverage, automation and overall QA processes. Daily tasks: - Planning test scope and identifying risks for new features and changes - Functional, integration and regression testing of our applications - Creating and maintaining automated tests in Cypress - Analysing automated test results and investigating failures - API and database verification as part of feature testing and issue investigation - Testing eCommerce, browser-based POS and mobile applications on Android and iOS - Analysing requirements and user stories from a testing perspective - Preparing and maintaining test cases and test documentation - Identifying, investigating and clearly reporting defects - Performing deployments to test and customer environments, followed by smoke testing and post-deployment verification - Using AI-assisted tools to support testing, automation, analysis and everyday QA work - Working closely with Developers and Product Owners to resolve quality issues - Contributing to improvements in QA processes, tools, automation and test coverage We are looking for a self-driven and technically minded QA Engineer who can work independently, understands software quality beyond test execution, and is comfortable working across manual testing, automation, APIs, databases and AI-assisted workflows. Must Have Commercial experience in software testing Good knowledge of software testing principles and methodologies Experience in functional, integration and regression testing Good understanding of web applications, client-server architecture and HTTP Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases Experience with REST API testing Practical experience with Cypress or a similar automation framework Ability to independently analyse requirements, define test scope and identify risks Experience with defect investigation and root cause analysis Experience with bug tracking and test management tools such as Jira and Xray Understanding of CI/CD processes Practical experience using AI-assisted tools in software testing, test automation or development Good command of English, allowing daily communication in an international environment Nice to Have Experience testing mobile applications Experience with performance testing Experience working with distributed systems, microservices or cloud-based applications Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution Experience improving QA processes, test coverage or automation strategy Experience introducing or evaluating AI-assisted workflows within QA or software development Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment Must have: SQL, REST, HTTP, Test automation, Testing, Postman, TypeScript Nice to have: CI/CD, Jira, Xray, AI, TypeScript, Cypress
