Responsibilities Structure and shape new mechatronic development projects from concept to series production, considering legal, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements, as well as the needs of external stakeholders. Provide technical advice and develop solutions for mechatronics-related issues, particularly at the interfaces between hardware development, manufacturing and procurement. Coordinate closely with cross-functional teams, including Production, Production Preparation and Procurement, to ensure manufacturing-oriented product development. Evaluate and ensure the manufacturability of mechatronic components, including the selection and application of appropriate manufacturability assessment methods while considering cost and other commercial constraints. Design, implement, and maintain surface and coating technologies as part of product development. Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable technical field Solid knowledge of mechatronic systems development as well as relevant standards and legislation. Experience in structuring and integrating assemblies consisting of mechanical, electronic and software components. Knowledge of modern development and simulation tools as well as PLM systems (e.g., CAD, FEA, thermal simulation, Teamcenter). Strong awareness of quality and safety requirements. Knowledge of common coating processes and their impact on component properties is desirable. Very good command of German and English, both written and spoken.
