Platform Engineer - Data and AI

My client, a leader in Hong Kong's financial services landscape is embarking on a exciting journey to simplify and transform their business and IT landscape through a multi-year digitalization program. They are expanding the Digital, Data, and AI teams, and are currently seeking a Platform Engineer with excellent level of python to develop and support their next generation data and analytics platform. Key Responsibilities: Develop and enhance data platform solutions, including data virtualization, visualization, and data lakes. Conduct proof-of-concept and acceptance testing for data platform initiatives. Build services and integrate them with both internal and external APIs. Collaborate with Architects, Platform Engineers, and Product Owners to deliver software in a continuous delivery framework. Skills and Experience for success: Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum of 3 years of experience in data platform development, including large-scale data infrastructure (hundreds of terabytes). Proficiency in system design and Infrastructure as Code practices. Familiarity with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, AliCloud) and relevant certifications is advantageous.
