Lead Software Engineer
Remote - Poland Optional office base in Lublin
We’re looking for a Lead Software Engineer to help us build something exciting from the ground up.
This is a rare opportunity to launch and lead a new engineering team in Poland, shaping the way we design, build and deliver modern software for the pharmaceutical industry. If you enjoy combining hands-on engineering, technical leadership, and team building, this role offers the chance to make a real impact from day one.
You’ll work on next-generation software solutions for the Pharmaceutical Trial Master File (TMF) space - a fast-evolving area where technology, data and AI are transforming how clinical trial documentation is managed.
What you’ll be doing
Building and leading a high-performing software engineering team in Poland
Designing and developing scalable, modern software solutions
Acting as a hands-on technical leader across architecture, coding and delivery
Championing high standards in quality, security and engineering best practice
Driving Agile ways of working, including planning, refinement, stand-ups and retrospectives
Mentoring engineers and helping create a strong, collaborative engineering culture
Supporting the adoption of AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude
Partnering with colleagues across a distributed global organisation

What we’re looking for
Strong software engineering experience, including building production-grade systems
Experience leading or acting as technical lead for engineering teams
A background in modern web development, with technologies such as C#, .NET Core, SQL and React
Knowledge of cloud-native architecture and scalable system design
Experience with areas such as Azure or AWS or GCP, microservices, containerisation, Kubernetes and CI/CD
A passion for modern engineering practices, including AI-augmented development
Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in distributed teams
Fluent English
