We invite you to be part of this first-of-its-kind software and help forge the future of finance.
Our company ethos is centred around our staff and based on three pillars:

About UniFi
UniFi is a financial process automation platform. Finance teams use it to build the processes their ERP does not cover: purchase-to-pay, period close, asset management, approvals; and every one of those processes ends in a posted accounting entry, not a spreadsheet. It runs alongside the ERP a company already has. One price, unlimited applications.
UniFi is built on .NET and React, running on AWS with PostgreSQL (Aurora) and SQL Server underneath, with CI/CD in Azure DevOps. It has an established customer base and we are now taking it to market on its own, beyond our SunSystems and NetSuite base.
About the role
You will be the technical owner of UniFi. You own the architecture, the AWS estate, release quality and the engineers who build the product. You decide what gets refactored and when, and you are accountable for the platform being fast, stable and shipped on a predictable rhythm.
You will lead a small engineering team: a back-end engineer, a front-end developer, a back-end developer, QA automation, DevOps and a technical writer, working alongside the UniFi consultants who build applications for customers.
This is a hands-on role. You will spend at least half your week in the code and the console. It is an engineering role with a team, not a management role with a technical past.
Role responsibilities
• Own the UniFi architecture: .NET services, React front end, PostgreSQL on Aurora, SQL Server and AWS
• Own platform performance and stability: a written diagnosis in your first six weeks, a dated fix plan, and delivery of it
• Own the AWS estate with the DevOps engineer: environments, cost, monitoring, backups and the deployment pipeline. Know what the AWS bill is, what drives it, and bring it down without taking the platform down
• Run the release train: fortnightly releases with QA sign-off, written release notes and a rollback that works
• Lead, hire and develop the engineers: standards, code review, reviews and growth
• Own the ERP connectors and the posting engine with the back-end engineer: SunSystems, NetSuite and the Data Connector. This is the product's differentiator and it has to be reliable
About the candidate
What You Bring
• 8+ years building software, with 3+ years leading a team while still coding
• .NET (C#) in production at scale, and enough React or a comparable front end to review it credibly
• PostgreSQL performance work: query plans, indexing, connection pooling and Aurora specifics
• AWS architecture you designed and ran, not only used: IAM, networking, RDS/Aurora and cost control. You have cut a production AWS bill and can say by how much and how
• CI/CD ownership: Azure DevOps or equivalent, branch protection, pipeline secrets
• You have led a performance or stability turnaround on a live product with customers on it
• You have worked with an ERP, FMS or similar finance system
• You write well: a diagnosis, a design note or a release note, in plain English
• Multi-tenant SaaS experience
• You speak fluent English, and are comfortable working UK hours
It Would Help If You Have
• SQL Server experience alongside PostgreSQL
• Integration or connector work against ERPs or finance systems
• SOC 2 or ISO 27001 controls in practice
• Taken over a codebase from a departing team and stabilised it
• A finance or accounting background, or experience in a product company of under 200 people
What we offer
• Competitive B2B rate
• Performance bonus after probation, tied to the release cadence held for two quarters and the performance fix delivered
• A product with real customers, a clear direction and a team to lead from day one
• Direct access to the CEO and the board
• Friendly, open, and international team culture
• Regular team meetups (depending on your location)
• Equipment provided to ensure you have everything you need to do your best work
• UK bank holidays, sick leave, and compassionate leave
• Fully remote work
