Network Installation Engineer

We’re growing our Connections team and are looking for a Network Installation Engineer to join us in keeping our customers connected to our full-fibre network. At Wessex Internet, we design, build and operate our own full-fibre network across rural communities in the South West. As an Installation Engineer, you’ll play an important role in delivering that network directly to our customers, installing new connections, resolving service issues and making sure customers receive the reliable, high-speed service they’ve invested in. This is a hands-on engineering role where no two days are necessarily the same. You’ll work across both our Legacy and XGS networks , carrying out installations, diagnosing faults and completing minor network works. You’ll also work closely with our Customer Service and wider engineering teams to make sure issues are resolved quickly and customers stay connected. What you'll be doing as a Network Installation Engineer at Wessex Internet: Install full-fibre connections for residential and business customers, including final connections and minor network works. Diagnose and resolve service issues across our Legacy and XGS networks to keep customers connected. Complete failed installations and maintenance work within agreed timescales and to a high standard. Work at height, including installing equipment on customer properties and masts. Maintain accurate records of installations, network adjustments and daily activities to keep our fibre network information up to date. Work independently and as part of the wider engineering team, meeting company targets, KPIs and Health & Safety requirements. What we're looking for from our next Network Installation Engineer: Proven experience as an Installation Engineer, ideally within fibre, telecommunications, broadband or a similar technical environment. S trong technical and fault-finding skills, with experience diagnosing and resolving customer connection issues. Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to represent the business professionally when working on customer premises. Confident working independently and as part of an engineering team, with strong organisational and problem-solving skills. Experience working at height and carrying out external installations; relevant certified training would be advantageous. A full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months. PIA, NRSWA and IPAF qualifications would be advantageous. Ready to join us?
