Fleet Controller

We are looking for an experienced Fleet Controller to manage vehicles and drivers on behalf of our client, keeping deliveries moving safely, on time and within budget. Preference will be given to FEMALE applicants What we are looking for 2–4 years' experience in fleet control, dispatch or transport coordination Sound knowledge of South African routes, major corridors (e.g. N1, N3, N4, N12) and local logistics operations Hands-on experience with a tracking system such as MiX Telematics, Ctrack, Cartrack, Netstar or similar Working knowledge of fuel cards and toll/e-tag management Good understanding of driver-hour rules and road transport compliance Proficient in MS Excel and Outlook Strong communicator who stays calm and decisive under pressure Matric required; a logistics or transport qualification is advantageous Valid driver's licence (Code B / old Code 08 minimum) Willing to work early starts and occasional after-hours or weekends when operations require it What you will do Monitor vehicles in real time on the tracking system, and respond to alerts such as speeding, harsh braking, route deviations and after-hours use Plan driver schedules, load allocations and routes, factoring in traffic, tolls, road closures and, where relevant, cross-border requirements Keep deliveries on time and update customers and internal teams on delays Manage breakdowns, accidents and incidents, from roadside response to repair follow-up and reporting Keep accurate records of trips, fuel and toll usage, licence discs, roadworthy certificates and service schedules Track driver compliance, including licences, PrDPs, medicals and traffic fines Work closely with drivers, warehouse and dispatch teams to solve daily problems #mycareercraft #jobsmycareercraft #mycareercraftjobs #fleetcontrollerjobs
