Senior Software Engineer

On behalf of a client, a technology company delivering advanced software solutions across financial services, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The Role You'll join the engineering team working on a blockchain-based FinTech platform. Specifically, you will: - Design and build robust, high-performance backend services in C# / .NET Core 8 - Work on cloud-native systems on AWS - Own PostgreSQL schema design, query optimization, and data integrity - Build and maintain integrations with KYC providers, crypto custodians, and KYT platforms - Make architectural decisions on a system where security, performance, and correctness are critical - Improve CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and DevOps practices - Mentor teammates and collaborate with experienced specialists across several technical disciplines Who We're Looking For You're an engineer who: - Takes genuine ownership and exercises sound judgment - Holds well-reasoned technical opinions and can defend them - Favors simple, correct solutions that ship over perfect ones that don't - Sees seniority as a matter of judgment rather than years of experience What You Bring - 5–7 years building production software used by real customers - Deep C# / .NET expertise - Strong PostgreSQL skills - Hands-on AWS experience - Solid understanding of microservices, API design, and distributed systems trade-offs - Experience integrating third-party APIs and external services in regulated environments - Comfort with CI/CD, containerization, and modern DevOps practices - Good judgment on when to build, when to buy, and when to simplify Nice to Have - Experience in FinTech, blockchain, or crypto - Familiarity with KYC / KYT / AML workflows or providers - Docker / Kubernetes (EKS, AKS) - Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Bicep) - Event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Service Bus) - Observability tooling (OpenTelemetry, Datadog, Grafana) - A strong interest in developer experience and security What's on Offer - Competitive salary and performance bonus - Retirement and medical benefits - Additional perks and allowances - Hybrid working - A collaborative, growing team of experienced engineers - The chance to work on cutting-edge technology in a fast-paced environment - A culture of innovation and continuous learning Applicants must hold EU citizenship and be eligible to work in Cyprus.
