Senior Java Developer

Project/Client: Fintech Location: Lithuania, hybrid model (3 days in the office) Start Date: ASAP Duration: 12 months Language: English Role Overview: We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to join a fintech project focused on scalable backend systems, data integration, and event-driven architecture . The role involves developing Java / Spring Boot microservices and working with data streaming and/or Data Warehouse solutions. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot Build and support microservices and event-driven solutions Work with messaging and data streaming tools such as Kafka , RabbitMQ , or similar technologies Contribute to data integration, CDC , ETL/ELT , and/or DWH -related initiatives Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL , MS SQL Server , or similar Collaborate with engineering, data, DevOps , and business teams Must-Have Requirements: Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot Proven experience with microservices architecture Hands-on experience with Kafka , RabbitMQ , or similar messaging/streaming technologies Experience with data streaming and/or Data Warehouse / DWH projects Good knowledge of relational databases ( PostgreSQL , MS SQL Server , or similar) Fluent English Nice to Have: Previous experience in fintech , banking , or financial systems What we offer Model: B2B contract with Bonapolia - one contract, one monthly invoice Rate: negotiated per candidate seniority and client budget Payment: monthly invoice, paid on the same schedule the client pays us (usually 30 days) Contract written under your country's law We handle the client-side paperwork: MSA, NDA, invoicing 🏢 About Bonapolia Bonapolia is a family-owned IT staff augmentation team based in Lisbon.
