We are looking for an experienced Game Designer with strong Roblox expertise to review our live Roblox game and provide direct, actionable feedback before we significantly scale user acquisition. The game combines RTS and Tower Defense gameplay with heroes, a ranked ladder, and friend duels. It is already publicly available, and we want an experienced designer to evaluate the experience from the perspective of a completely new Roblox player. This is not a general playtest. We need someone who understands what makes successful Roblox experiences work , especially around onboarding, pacing, retention, social features, visuals, UI, and monetization. 🎯 What You'll Do You will approach the game as a brand-new player and evaluate the complete first-session experience. Play the game for approximately 60 minutes on PC Start with a completely fresh player experience Record your screen and voice your thoughts while playing Play at least 3 arena matches Analyze the lobby, onboarding, gameplay, presentation, and overall player experience Compare the experience with current Roblox standards and successful experiences on the platform Identify points of confusion, boredom, friction, or potential player drop-off Provide clear and honest recommendations for improvement 🔍 Key Questions Your review should address: Lobby & Town Does the town/lobby look professional and engaging? Does it immediately communicate the quality and purpose of the game? First 2 Minutes Would a typical Roblox player stay? What could make them leave before reaching the core gameplay? Is the onboarding fast and intuitive enough? Arena Gameplay Play 3 arena matches Where did you feel confused, stuck, or bored? Is the gameplay introduced clearly? How does the onboarding compare with successful Roblox experiences? Look & Feel Does the art, UI, animation, and sound feel cohesive? Does the overall presentation meet current Roblox quality standards? Quality Issues What looks cheap, unfinished, confusing, or out of place? Which elements reduce perceived quality? Roblox Audience Fit Does the RTS / Tower Defense concept and pacing fit Roblox players? What would you change to make the experience more appealing to the platform's audience? First-Session Rating Is there anything that could cause a new player to dislike or leave the game during their first session? What are the biggest risks to retention? ⭐ Final Recommendation Provide your Top 5 changes in priority order , focusing on changes that could have the biggest impact on: First-session retention Player understanding Engagement Session length Overall perceived quality 👤 What We're Looking For Proven experience as a Game Designer / UX Designer / Game UX Researcher Strong understanding of the Roblox ecosystem Experience evaluating Roblox games or designing for Roblox Familiarity with successful Roblox experiences and current platform standards Strong understanding of: Onboarding Player retention Game loops Session pacing Social gameplay UI/UX Monetization Player psychology Ability to give blunt, objective, and actionable feedback Excellent written and verbal communication You don't need to be a Roblox developer for this role, but you should have a strong understanding of what Roblox players expect from modern experiences . 📦 Deliverables 1. Screen Recording Approximately 60 minutes of gameplay with: Full screen recording Voice commentary Natural reactions and observations while playing 2. Written Critique A 1–2 page review delivered as a Google Doc or PDF covering the questions above, including: Key issues discovered Specific examples from the session Roblox-specific recommendations Top 5 changes ranked by priority 🎯 Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate can look at the game through the eyes of a first-time Roblox player , while also understanding the underlying design decisions. We are specifically looking for someone who won't simply say that something "could be better." We want to understand why it doesn't work, how it compares to Roblox standards, and what should be changed first .
