We are currently seeking a talented Senior Developer for one of our clients to work on a "Location Finder API" (API Catalog). This application allows users to find all service points, such as kiosks and package stations, directly from eCommerce shops. It is a critical service used across all our divisions. Details: Start: asap Location: remote Duration: at 6 months with extension opportunity/ long-term project Language: English fluent Responsibilities Main development and support Operations (primarily development-focused) Infrastructure management with a focus on high-speed performance Geolocation and proximity search optimization Transition from Google Maps to our proprietary solution, including ongoing adjustments Building monitoring systems using Open Telemetry (Open Source) for tracing and performance analysis Scala skill profile Technology: Scala development Data engineering/analysis experience ZIO Framework microservice architecture Scala and cloud design concepts, patterns and corresponding frameworks Cloud technologies monitoring metrics (currently deployed in Google Cloud) Kubernetes / Docker CI/CD Performance and efficiency optimization Specific tools: OpenStreetMap and Nominatim geocoding and routing Postgres and PostGIS Nice to have: Argo CD Java Common to ols: Git Jira Confluence Grafana Jenkin
