You will be crucial to protect our company’s digital assets, ensure compliance with security standards, and mitigate risks. You will also make sure our information assets and technologies are adequately protected from current and emerging threats. · Strategic Planning & Commercial Judgement: Own the security roadmap and budget; appraise tools and controls on a risk-reduction-per-pound basis. · Incident Response & Resilience: Own the incident response plan and act as escalation point for major incidents; coordinate root-cause analysis, statutory reporting (ICO within 72 hours, and NHS/DSPT notification where applicable), cyber insurance engagement, and regular tabletop exercises with the Executive. · Secure AI & Emerging Technology Adoption: Provide the guardrails that let the business adopt AI and new technology safely — use-case risk assessment, data classification, and model and tooling review — aligned to ISO/IEC 42001 and the UK's principles-based AI regime. · Data Protection & Clinical Safety Interface: Work with the DPO, information governance and clinical safety functions on special category data, DPIAs, records of processing, and digital clinical safety obligations (DCB0129/0160) where applicable. An ideal candidate will have Hands-on familiarity with EDR/XDR (e.g. Aurora, Microsoft Defender), Microsoft cloud security (Azure, M365, Entra ID, Purview), identity and access management, and network architecture across a distributed multi-site estate. Ideally 7+ years in IT or information security, including prior senior or analyst experience.
