Senior QA Automation Engineer

ELEKS is looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer (Playwright) to join our team in Argentina. Our client is a major reinsurance solutions provider. This role supports the client’s strategic framework and digital ecosystem connecting brokers, insurance carriers, and alternative capital providers. Built as part of a $1 billion investment in data and analytics, the platform replaces slow, manual commercial placement procedures with high-speed algorithmic trading, API-driven carrier workflows, and predictive insights. Requirements 7+ years of QA/test automation experience 2+ years of hands-on experience with Playwright Strong expertise in TypeScript/JavaScript, solid understanding of OOP and design patterns Proven experience building automation frameworks from scratch Experience with both UI and API test automation (REST, JSON, integration testing) Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) — work management, test planning, pipeline integrations Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines Solid Git skills, including branching strategies Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, Claude) — or strong motivation to learn and adopt them Basic to intermediate SQL Upper-Intermediate English Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript Develop and execute automated tests covering both UI and API layers Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate test case creation, automation development, code review, and defect analysis Build reusable automation components for functional, integration, regression, and E2E testing Integrate automated testing into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines Collaborate with developers and the scrum master to define test strategy and quality objectives Analyze test results and report on defects, risks, quality trends, and coverage Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, refinement, retrospectives) Would be a plus Experience with cloud platforms and microservices/distributed systems testing Performance, accessibility, or security testing experience Insurance, Reinsurance, or Financial Services background WHAT YOU WILL GET WITH ELEKS Close cooperation with a customer Challenging tasks Competence development Ability to influence project technologies Team of professionals Dynamic environment with low level of bureaucracy ABOUT ELEKS ELEKS is a custom software development company.
