Logistics Finance Controller - Intern

Finance & Business Controller Intern Logistics Business Unit What You'll Do As a Finance & Business Controller Intern , you will gain hands-on experience in financial analysis, cost control, reporting, and business process improvement within the Logistics Business Unit. Key Activities 1. Cost Monitoring & Control Assist in monitoring and tracking operational expenses against budget. Maintain cost monitoring tools, reports, and dashboards. Support monitoring of accruals, deferred expenses, and committed purchase items. Assist in identifying unusual transactions, cost variances, and potential cost leakages. 2. Financial Reporting & Analysis Support preparation of periodic cost and management reports. Analyze actual vs. budget and prior-period cost variances. Investigate cost deviations and prepare variance explanations. Support cost-benefit analysis and identify potential cost-saving opportunities. 3. Finance Control & Compliance Assist in reviewing transactions against company Policy, Process, Procedure & Working Instruction (P3W) . Support review of expense classification, documentation, approval, and recognition. Assist in identifying lease-related expenses requiring further assessment under IFRS 16 . Support monitoring and documentation of finance control exceptions. 4. Business Process Improvement Assist in reviewing and mapping existing cost monitoring and reporting processes. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of cost reporting. Support development and improvement of Excel/BI dashboards and reporting templates. Assist in developing process improvement and cost optimization recommendations. Strong analytical and numerical skills. Comfortable working with Microsoft Excel ; knowledge of Power BI is a plus. Detail-oriented with good problem-solving skills. Able to work with data and translate findings into meaningful insights. Good communication and collaboration skills. Proactive, curious, and willing to learn.
