As a MID-LEVEL IBM Sterling File Gateway Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leader in enterprise application integration, empowering global organizations to streamline and secure their data transfer operations. You will play a crucial role in managing core components like SFG, Connect:Direct, and security protocols, ensuring seamless, compliant, and resilient file transfer solutions for enterprise-critical applications. Your main responsibilities:
Implement, configure, and operate IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG) and related components (Connect:Direct, External Authentication Server, Secure Proxy, Control Center).
Manage and support file transfer protocols including sFTP, AS2, and HTTPS to ensure secure data exchange.
Administer Windows and Linux environments, maintaining high availability and performance.
Support vulnerability remediation activities and conduct application upgrades to enhance system security and stability.
Execute disaster recovery exercises (DRE) to validate business continuity plans.
Support change implementations, occasionally outside regular hours, including weekends if needed.
Troubleshoot and resolve system incidents to ensure minimal downtime.
Collaborate with global teams to optimize processes and share best practices.
You're ideal for this role if you have:
2–3 years of hands-on experience in a similar role within enterprise environments.
Practical expertise with IBM Sterling File Gateway, Connect:Direct, External Authentication Server, or Secure Proxy.
Strong knowledge of file transfer protocols: sFTP, AS2, HTTPS.
System administration skills on both Windows and Linux platforms.
Fluent English language skills (interviews conducted fully in English).
It is a strong plus if you have:
Broader experience with the IBM Sterling product suite.
Experience working in a distributed, international team environment.
Language required for the role:
English — fluent command necessary.
