M01 - Application DBA / Stored Procedure Developer

Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Application DBA / Stored Procedure Developer to support the migration of a legacy Sybase database environment to a modern SQL-based platform. The role focuses on application-level database development, analysing existing stored procedures, re-engineering embedded business logic, and ensuring functional accuracy throughout the migration process. Key Responsibilities Analyse and document existing Sybase stored procedures and embedded business logic. Re-engineer and convert legacy stored procedures to T-SQL or an equivalent SQL dialect. Ensure converted stored procedures maintain functional accuracy and performance. Collaborate with application developers to resolve database and application logic dependencies. Support database schema migration and data integrity validation. Perform functional testing and validate converted database logic. Participate in database migration testing, deployment, and cutover activities. Requirements Minimum 3 years of experience in application-level database development or stored procedure engineering. Strong knowledge of Sybase stored procedures and database architecture. Proficiency in T-SQL or equivalent SQL technologies. Experience analysing and re-engineering complex database business logic. Experience in database migration, schema conversion, and functional validation. Familiarity with ETL pipelines and data migration methodologies is an advantage.
