About Akurateco
Akurateco is a PCI DSS Level 1 certified white-label payment gateway with orchestration capabilities. PSPs, acquiring banks, and enterprise merchants in 60+ countries use our platform and 700+ payment connectors to build and scale their payment infrastructure.
About the role
We are opening an entry-level internship for students and recent graduates in marketing, journalism, or communications who want hands-on B2B fintech experience. The role takes about two hours a day and fits around your studies. You will work directly with our Head of PR on live international campaigns in media relations, outreach, and brand visibility.
What you will do
Monitor payments and fintech news daily and flag stories our experts can comment on, so we can pitch journalists while the topic is live
Research media outlets, journalists, and influencers in the global payments space
Support outreach campaigns: find contacts, send and follow up on pitches in English
Reach out to associations, media, event organizers, award programs, industry directories, and potential partners to find out terms, pricing, and requirements, and summarize the options
Keep our trackers up to date: outreach status, new publications, and media coverage
Occasionally help draft LinkedIn posts, such as partnership and client anniversary announcements
Join occasional calls with partners, media, and agencies, and prepare short summaries
What we are looking for
Upper-intermediate or higher English, written and spoken
Strong communication skills and confidence in writing to people you do not know
Solid research skills: you can find the right person, source, or fact quickly and verify it
A feel for news: you notice what is worth a journalist’s attention
Confident daily use of AI assistants (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini) for research and drafting
Working knowledge of Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Slides) and an active LinkedIn profile
Attention to detail and the discipline to keep trackers accurate
Around 10 hours per week (roughly two hours a day, flexible schedule)
Nice to have
Experience with Canva, Notion, or Slack
Familiarity with contact-finding or outreach tools (Hunter, Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator)
Basic understanding of SEO or tools such as Ahrefs and Semrush
Writing samples: student media, a blog, or a well-kept LinkedIn page
Interest in fintech, payments, or tech media
What you will get
Real portfolio work: published campaigns, measurable results, and a reference letter
Mentorship and weekly feedback from the Head of PR
Practical skills in B2B PR, media outreach, and partnership marketing
