QA Automation Engineer (Typescript, Playwright)

About the Company Pitch Avatar is Softprom's AI platform for creating and running interactive presentations and audience communication. It's not just an AI avatar reading out a script on screen — the platform turns a regular presentation into an interactive AI assistant that can independently present a product or company, engage with users, and answer their questions 24/7. With Pitch Avatar, users can upload an existing presentation, generate a script for it with AI, and add voiceover or an AI avatar. Content can be adapted and voiced in different languages, regardless of the language the slides were originally created in. Users can also create a personalized avatar from their own photo and clone their voice. Another key part of the product is audience interaction: a presentation can be shared via a link or embedded on a website. When someone opens it, the system can capture leads and analytics, and the user can interact directly with the AI avatar. If needed, a live person can join the conversation and continue it via chat, audio, or video. In short, Pitch Avatar helps businesses scale presentations and customer communication using AI — across sales, marketing, lead generation, product demos, training, and even early-stage interviews. About the Role We're opening a Automation QA position to strengthen our quality assurance team. Our product includes AI-driven functionality, so you'll be working on testing both traditional application flows and AI/LLM-based features. We're looking for someone who can independently define test coverage, write and maintain reliable autotests, and dig into the root cause when tests fail — practical skills and independence matter more than years on paper. Requirements 3+ years of overall QA experience, including 2+ years specifically in test automation Strong, hands-on command of TypeScript and confident knowledge of JavaScript Solid experience with Playwright Practical experience automating both UI and API testing Experience working with Git Experience running automated tests in CI/CD pipelines Ability to independently determine test coverage, design test scenarios, and analyze the causes of test failures A second programming language is not required Nice to Have Experience testing AI/LLM and RAG-based systems: validating knowledge-base retrieval, checking that responses align with source data, detecting hallucinations, and verifying correct behavior when relevant data is missing Experience using AI assistants to help prepare test scenarios, write autotests, and analyze failures — with a clear understanding of the generated code and a habit of always verifying the output before relying on it What We're Looking For Self-driven engineer who takes ownership of test coverage and quality, not just execution of assigned cases Comfortable working with modern AI-assisted tooling while maintaining critical judgment over generated code and results.
