Finance Accountant

WE ARE HIRING: Financial Accountant Location: Piliyandala, Sri Lanka Employment Type: Full Time Industry: Manufacturing / Printing & Packaging Role Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially focused Financial Accountant to support financial reporting, treasury management, working capital optimization, budgeting, compliance, and audit coordination activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of financial information, maintaining strong financial controls, supporting business decision-making, and contributing to the overall financial performance of the organization. This role is ideal for a finance professional with strong accounting knowledge, analytical capabilities, and a proactive approach to managing financial operations. Key Responsibilities Coordinate with the Shared Service Centre to ensure timely preparation and finalization of monthly and quarterly financial accounts. Review financial statements, reports, and accounting records to ensure accuracy and compliance. Manage treasury operations including cash flow, bank balances, borrowings, deposits, and banking activities. Monitor working capital performance, including receivables, payables, and inventory management. Coordinate with vendors regarding invoices, outstanding balances, and payment-related matters. Work closely with the Shared Service Centre to ensure timely processing of approved payments. Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and financial analysis activities. Prepare and analyze financial information to support operational and strategic decision-making. Coordinate with internal and external auditors and ensure all required information is provided accurately and on time. Follow up on audit observations, recommendations, and compliance requirements. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements, and internal financial controls. Support continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function and contribute to enhanced financial reporting processes. Candidate Profile Fully or partly qualified CA Sri Lanka or equivalent professional qualification. 3–5 years of relevant experience , preferably within a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of financial accounting, treasury management, and working capital management. Experience in banking operations and cash flow management. Working knowledge of ERP systems; exposure to SAP will be an added advantage. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work independently while effectively managing multiple priorities.
