#430 EHR Integration Engineer (MuleSoft)

We are looking for an **EHR Integration Engineer with strong MuleSoft experience** to build a healthcare integration layer connecting clinical/EHR systems with our platform. The role will focus on inbound and outbound clinical data integrations using **MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, FHIR, HL7, MLLP, and Kafka**, with a strong emphasis on reliability, configurability, and healthcare data standards. WHAT YOU’LL OWN * Design and implement **inbound and outbound MuleSoft integration flows** between the platform and EHR/partner systems. * Transform standardized clinical JSON into **FHIR R4 and HL7 v2.5** formats and deliver data via HTTPS or MLLP. * Build integrations for retrieving clinical data from EHR systems such as **Epic, Cerner/Oracle Health, Athena, and Allscripts**. * Integrate **Kafka** event ingestion into MuleSoft flows. * Implement validation, error handling, retries, dead-letter handling, and delivery tracking. * Build configuration-driven routing so new tenants/partners can be onboarded with minimal custom development. * Create integration mappings, tests, and technical documentation for handover. WHAT YOU NEED * Strong hands-on experience with **MuleSoft Anypoint Platform**, including API design, **DataWeave**, and connector configuration/development. * Hands-on experience integrating MuleSoft with **EHR systems** such as Epic, Cerner/Oracle Health, Athena, or Allscripts. * Strong knowledge of **FHIR R4** and RESTful FHIR APIs. * Working knowledge of **HL7 v2.5** and **MLLP**. * Experience with **Kafka** producer/consumer patterns. * Understanding of healthcare data security/privacy requirements such as **HIPAA**, especially data in transit and access control. * Strong troubleshooting and integration design skills.
