Senior .NET Backend Developer / Tech Lead – Stockholm

We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Developer / Tech Lead for a long-term consulting assignment in Stockholm. This is a hands-on role where you will combine backend development in C#/.NET with technical leadership. You will be part of a team working with the development and modernization of backend services in a complex, event-driven environment. As Tech Lead, you will also guide the team's technical work, support other developers and contribute to high code quality, architecture and technical decisions. What you will work with Design, develop and implement backend solutions in C# and .NET Work with event-driven systems and architectures Develop and modernize backend services Act as Tech Lead for the backend developers in the team Support developers through technical guidance and quality assurance Work with Docker and Kubernetes Test automation and integration testing System integrations and APIs Troubleshooting and performance optimization Contribute to cloud modernization and migration Use approved AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, debugging and documentation Work with GCP / cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code We are looking for someone with 5+ years of professional backend development experience with C# and .NET Previous experience as a Tech Lead, Technical Lead or equivalent Strong experience with event-driven systems Experience with Kafka, Redpanda or similar technologies Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes Experience with automated testing and integration testing Experience with GCP or another major cloud platform Relevant academic degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent Strong communication skills and the ability to independently drive technical work forward Big plus if you have Experience migrating services from on-premise to GCP Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience Infrastructure as Code , e.g. Terraform Experience optimizing high-performance distributed backend systems Backend development experience in Java and/or Scala Experience using tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor or similar Experience designing and implementing AI agents integrated with APIs, external systems or data sources
