Amazon Brand Manager (Category & Portfolio Ownership)
Описание от работодателя
## **🏢About the Company**
Our company is an established US-based eCommerce business with almost two decades of experience in the market. The company has grown into an international eCommerce business with operations in the US and Israel, including its own production and fulfillment facilities in Miami.
The company combines eCommerce expertise, data analytics, technology, and in-house production to bring products to market quickly and efficiently. Today, the business has a strong presence on Amazon and operates exclusively in the US market, with significant budgets and a large product catalog.
The team is international, with employees based primarily in Israel and the Philippines, and the company continues to strengthen its in-house eCommerce team. With approximately 150–160 products, the catalog is divided between Category Managers, each of whom has clear ownership over their portfolio and its performance.
Now we are looking for an Amazon Brand Manager (Private Label) who understands Amazon Private Label inside out and knows how to turn data into clear, actionable growth strategies.
This is a role for someone who enjoys ownership and is comfortable looking beyond individual listings. You will be responsible for the performance and growth of your assigned product portfolio, identifying opportunities, optimizing listings and conversion, analyzing competitors and market trends, and working closely with Marketing, PPC, Creative, Production, and Planning teams.
## **💼The Role in One Line**
You will own a portfolio of the Amazon catalog and be accountable for what it earns — not just what it looks like.
You will run your portfolio like a small business: know its numbers, identify where money is being left on the table, and work with the relevant teams to capture those opportunities.
This is a role for someone who is genuinely comfortable being measured. If you want to be judged on tasks completed, this is not the right fit. If you want to be judged on contribution profit and category rank, read on.
## **💻Working Conditions**
**🌍 Work format:** Fully remote
**⏰ Schedule:** Full-time, five days per week during US business hours (Eastern Time)
**💰 Compensation:** $2,000–$2,700 per month, depending on experience and expertise
🗣️ **English:** Confident conversational and written English
**👤 Reporting to:** Head of Amazon
## **🌟What You Will Own**
🔸You will be accountable for the following outcomes across your portfolio:
🔸Contribution profit — revenue after COGS, Amazon fees, and advertising spend
🔸TACOS — the efficiency of growth, not just its volume
🔸Organic rank and sales velocity on priority keywords
🔸Conversion rate and sessions — understanding which lever is underperforming and why
🔸Sell-through within seasonal and event-driven windows
🔸Listing health, including suppressions, compliance, and variation integrity
🔸Overall product growth, profitability, inventory position, and category performance
## **❇️What You Will Do**
🔸Own the performance of every product in your portfolio, including traffic, conversion, ranking, margin, and inventory position
🔸Pull and interpret your own data from the company’s internal BI system and Amazon reporting, including sales, sessions, conversion, Search Query Performance, ad performance, returns, and profitability
🔸Identify growth opportunities and areas where the portfolio is underperforming
🔸Optimize listings end to end, including titles, bullets, descriptions, backend search terms, A+ Content, images, and image briefs
🔸Build and execute keyword strategies to grow organic rank on the terms that actually convert
🔸Use price, coupons, promotions, and deals deliberately to improve conversion and sales velocity, with margin calculations behind every decision
🔸Plan seasonal events backwards from the peak date: what launches, when, at what quantity, and with what budget
🔸Partner with the PPC team on campaign structure, budgets, and bid strategy for your portfolio, and maintain a clear point of view on where advertising dollars should go
🔸Brief Creative on new designs and imagery and support new product launches from concept through first sales
🔸Feed demand signals to Planning and Production so the business produces the right units at the right time
🔸Monitor competitors, category trends, customer reviews, and returns to identify opportunities and potential threats
🔸Handle Amazon Seller Support and Account Manager escalations related to listings, variations, and compliance
🔸Ensure licensed products remain compliant with applicable brand and marketplace requirements
🔸Use AI tools to work faster on research, copy drafting, and analysis, while understanding where the output needs to be checked
🔸Document successful approaches so they become repeatable processes rather than tribal knowledge
## **🔍What We’re Looking For**
### **✅Must Have**
🔹3+ years of hands-on Amazon Private Label experience, owning product performance rather than executing someone else’s instructions
🔹Experience carrying responsibility for revenue, profitability, or other measurable commercial results
🔹Deep knowledge of Amazon Seller Central, including listings, variations, flat files, cases, Brand Registry, and A+ Content Manager
🔹Demonstrated ability to grow organic rank and improve conversion, with specific results and numbers you can walk us through
🔹Confidence working with unit economics and building a landed-cost-to-contribution-margin model in Excel or Google Sheets
🔹Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, including pivot tables, lookups, clean reporting, and basic modeling
🔹Working knowledge of Amazon PPC and a clear understanding of how advertising spend, ranking, and organic sales interact
🔹Experience with Helium 10, Jungle Scout, DataDive, or a similar tool
🔹Practical experience with Amazon Search Query Performance
🔹Confidence reading and working from BI dashboards, not only Excel exports
🔹Ability to independently pull, interpret, and act on performance data
🔹Active use of AI tools in day-to-day work, with sound judgment about where they help and where human review is required
🔹Excellent written English and the discipline to communicate clearly and asynchronously in Slack
🔹Availability to work full US business hours in the Eastern Time Zone
🔹A genuine ownership mindset: you identify and surface problems before someone asks about them
### **➕Strong Plus**
🔹Experience with apparel, print-on-demand, seasonal, gifting, or event-driven categories
🔹Experience managing a large catalog with multiple variations
🔹Experience with licensed or branded intellectual property and related compliance requirements
🔹Hands-on Amazon PPC campaign management experience
🔹Amazon Canada or Walmart Marketplace experience
🔹SQL knowledge or confidence querying a sales database directly
🔹Experience with project management tools such as Asana, Trello, Jira, or similar
This role is probably not for you if you prefer a narrow, task-defined scope, have managed listings but never carried a revenue or profit number, or need someone else to pull the data before you can form an opinion.
## **🧩Your First 90 Days**
### **Days 1–30 — Learn the Portfolio**
Understand your top 20 products by contribution profit, not simply by revenue. Learn the company’s cost structure, production lead times, and event calendar. Deliver a written gap list outlining where you believe the portfolio is underperforming and why.
### **Days 31–60 — Implement the Obvious Fixes**
Deliver listing, pricing, and conversion improvements across the top 20 products. Prepare the first version of a plan for the next event on the calendar, including keyword targets, advertising structure, and a unit forecast.
### **Days 61–90 — Own the Cycle**
Run your own monthly portfolio review using data you have pulled and analyzed independently. Deliver a fully costed plan for the next major event: which products, which quantities, which keywords, which budget, and what return you expect.
