Linux Engineer

My client, a well-known player in the trading industry are hiring Linux Engineer(s) to join the Hong Kong infrastructure team to continue the development of the trading platforms. You'll join a team of savvy, super smart engineers in exploring how the in-house and open source platform can evolve, starting from debugging performances, through to building new management tools and resolving production issues in real time. Candidates should have a willingness to learn new coding languages and meet the following requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience) Strong communication skills, both verbal and written In-depth knowledge of operating system fundamentals, particularly Linux Proficiency in the Unix command line and shell scripting Practical experience with modern Linux systems and systems programming concepts Basic understanding of network protocols Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with profiling/debugging tools Programming experience in any language (experience with functional languages is a plus) Fluency in English is required Benefits: Industry leading compensation package Outstanding fringe benefits including plenty of AL, generous pension, top medical coverage Awesome work environment including pantry, gym, chill out space, etc.
