WE ARE HIRING : Team Lead – Accounting Location: Sri Lanka Employment Type: Full-time Company Industry: Shipping, Logistics & Marine Role Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Team Lead – Accounting to manage accounting operations, oversee financial processes, and lead a high-performing team. This role focuses on ensuring accuracy in financial transactions, managing banking operations, and improving processes within a fast-paced logistics environment. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the accounting team, ensuring effective task allocation and performance Oversee daily accounting operations including receivables, payments, and reconciliations Manage bank payments, forex transactions, and ensure compliance with authorization limits Maintain accurate accounting records and update financial systems Perform and review bank reconciliations on a timely basis Monitor fund requests, incoming payments, and clearance accounts Liaise with banks regarding transactions, charges, and compliance queries Ensure timely communication with internal teams and stakeholders on payment status Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy Support audits, compliance requirements, and financial reporting activities Handle ad-hoc finance and operational requests as required Candidate Profile Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Professional qualification such as ACCA / CPA / MBA will be an added advantage Experience in shipping, logistics, or marine industry is preferred Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of accounting operations and financial processes Experience in banking operations, forex transactions, and reconciliations Proficiency in MS Office and accounting/ERP systems Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities Strong analytical and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Ready to take your career to new heights?
