E-commerce Project Manager

WE ARE HIRING: E-Commerce Project Manager Location: Sri Lanka Employment Type: Full Time Work Mode: Remote (US Working Hours) Industry: Apparel Manufacturing Role Overview We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented E-Commerce Project Manager to drive operational governance, workflow standardization, project coordination, and delivery excellence across a fast-paced e-commerce environment. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining project visibility, process compliance, ticket governance, team coordination, and cross-functional communication while supporting business growth and operational effectiveness. This position requires strong project management expertise, operational discipline, and the ability to work effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be passionate about process improvement, accountability, and operational excellence while possessing a strong interest in apparel and e-commerce operations. Key Responsibilities Project Governance & Operational Excellence Maintain standardized project management practices across the organization. Drive consistency in task structures, backlog management, ownership accountability, and workflow compliance. Ensure operational efficiency through structured governance processes and standardized project management methodologies. Monitor project health, delivery status, and operational compliance across multiple workstreams. Support process optimization initiatives and continuous improvement programs. Reporting & Performance Management Develop and manage reporting dashboards and project visibility frameworks. Track operational KPIs, project performance metrics, backlog trends, ticket volumes, and resource utilization. Analyze operational data and provide actionable recommendations to leadership teams. Ensure timely and accurate reporting across projects and operational functions. Provide management with visibility into progress, risks, issues, and delivery performance. Ticketing, SLA & Workflow Management Manage ticket triage processes and support workflow governance activities. Monitor SLA adherence and ensure efficient ticket handling and issue resolution. Maintain queue management processes and ensure clear ownership of support requests. Coordinate closely with development, support, and business teams to address priority issues. Ensure escalation procedures are followed for critical and high-priority incidents. Drive consistency in ticket handling standards and workflow management processes. ADA Compliance & Release Coordination Manage and monitor ADA compliance initiatives across e-commerce operations. Maintain ownership of audit tracking, task management, documentation, and compliance activities. Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure accessibility requirements are addressed effectively. Support release reviews and sign-off processes while maintaining compliance standards. Monitor progress and ensure accessibility initiatives remain aligned with delivery objectives. Capacity Planning & Resource Management Manage team capacity planning activities and workload distribution. Ensure resources are aligned with business priorities and project delivery requirements. Identify resource constraints, skill gaps, and operational risks proactively. Coordinate staffing, training, and cross-training initiatives to strengthen team capability. Support leadership on workforce planning and resource optimization decisions. Training, Documentation & Process Management Maintain governance playbooks, process documentation, workflow standards, and operational procedures. Deliver training programs covering operational processes, workflow compliance, and project standards. Promote consistency and adherence to project management methodologies. Ensure documentation remains current, accurate, and accessible. Support onboarding and training of new team members. Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Coordination Act as the primary coordination point between business stakeholders, development teams, and support teams. Facilitate communication, status updates, issue management, and escalation resolution. Drive collaboration across multiple business functions and operational teams. Manage stakeholder expectations while ensuring delivery commitments are achieved. Support business decision-making through structured communication and reporting. Candidate Profile Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, E-Commerce, Information Technology , or a related discipline. Strong experience in project management, operational governance, workflow standardization, and process compliance. Proven ability to maintain accountability, structure, and delivery discipline across cross-functional teams. Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting backlog, workflow, ticketing, and operational performance data. Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy, consistency, and process adherence. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Hands-on experience with Asana or similar project management platforms. Experience working with ticketing systems such as Deskpro or equivalent platforms. Strong understanding of e-commerce operations, release management processes, and digital delivery environments. Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams. Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills. Passion for apparel, fashion, and related product industries will be highly advantageous. Ability to work remotely while supporting teams operating on US business hours. Experience in digital operations, e-commerce support, or project governance functions will be an added advantage.
