Linux Systems Engineer (Kubernetes & AWS)

Key Responsibilities Maintain & Develop Linux Infrastructure : Ensure 24x7 availability of our Linux environments. System Administration : Manage, coordinate, and implement software updates, patches, and hotfixes on servers. Support Across Levels : Provide L1, L2, and L3 support for server issues. Automation & Scripting : Develop scripts to automate routine tasks and improve overall system efficiency. Collaboration : Work closely with teams to design and deploy automation strategies using tools like Kubernetes and Ansible. Cloud & Virtualization : Manage virtual environments in AWS and internal VMware ESX environments. Server Management : Deploy and manage both physical and virtual servers, ensuring scalability and performance. Performance Monitoring : Proactively monitor systems, troubleshoot performance issues, and optimize system capacity. Disaster Recovery : Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) drills. On-Call & Weekend Support : Provide on-call support as needed and scheduled weekend support. Key Qualifications 5+ Years of Experience as a Linux Administrator in complex environments. Expertise with Linux (RedHat) in both physical and virtual environments. Hands-on Experience with Kubernetes , VMware Tanzu, and AWS infrastructure. Strong knowledge of server hardware (HPE or similar) and architecture. Scripting & Automation : Proficiency in developing scripts (Python, Bash, etc.) to automate tasks. Cloud Expertise : Experience working with AWS and managing virtual machines. Experience with server clustering and Veritas cluster technologies is a plus. Windows OS knowledge is an added advantage.
