Senior Manual Tester - Digital Banking

Job Location: Hibrid in Bucharest, 2 days WFO Domain: Private Bank Recruitment process: HR discussion 2 X technical discussion Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Manual Tester to join our banking technology team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software quality assurance within financial systems, combined with a solid understanding of Mobile Testing, Agile methodologies, and cloud-based environments (Google Cloud Platform). Key Responsibilities Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for complex banking applications. Validate functional, integration, and regression test coverage across multiple releases and environments. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners in Agile ceremonies. Conduct defect triage meetings, ensuring issues are well-documented, prioritised, and tracked to closure. Test API integrations, data flows, and back-office banking processes to maintain data integrity and compliance. Work closely with DevOps and cloud engineering teams to test systems deployed on GCP. Apply testing strategies for certifying builds and ensure readiness for production deployments. Requirements Proven experience working in Agile Scrum or Kanban environments. Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect management processes. Hands-on experience with JIRA and Confluence. Good API testing knowledge. Experience in testing mobile applications. Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and communication abilities. Preferred Qualifications ISTQB certification or equivalent QA credentials. German speaker/reader — extra points. Exposure to automation tools (Selenium, Postman, JMeter). Experience in testing digital banking applications, core banking systems, or payment platforms.
