Job Description:
This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, and solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Job expectations include a strong knowledge of development and testing practices common to the industry and design and architectural patterns.
The Senior Java Developer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supporting enterprise applications and services supporting Microsoft 365 automation and related technology capabilities.
This role requires strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, SQL, application security, and enterprise integrations. The candidate will work across the software development lifecycle to deliver secure, scalable, maintainable solutions in a large enterprise environment.
Responsibilities:
Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained
Mentors other software engineers and coach team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack
Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle
Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
Automates manual release activities
Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)
Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
Develop secure, scalable RESTful APIs and service integrations.
Translate business and technical requirements into production-ready solutions.
Develop reusable components and common libraries to standardize capabilities across services.
Implement database integrations, asynchronous processing, transaction handling, error handling, and resiliency patterns.
Develop unit, integration, and automated tests.
Participate in technical design, code reviews, story refinement, and estimation.
Troubleshoot application and production issues across multiple environments.
Support CI/CD, logging, monitoring, and operational readiness.
Mentor developers and promote Java development and secure coding best practices.
Collaborate with architecture, security, infrastructure, database, operations, and business teams.
Ensure solutions comply with applicable technology, security, risk, and development standards.
Required Qualifications:
8–12 years of software development experience, preferably in a large enterprise or financial services environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful API development.
Experience designing and developing microservices and distributed applications.
Strong experience with SQL and relational databases.
Understanding of application security, authentication, and authorization.
Experience with unit and integration testing, Git, and CI/CD.
Understanding of concurrency, asynchronous processing, and enterprise integration patterns.
Strong knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

Pay range
$102,900.00 - $179,900.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.
Discretionary incentive eligible
This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan.
