WE ARE HIRING: Sales Analyst Location: Sri Lanka (Remote – USA Working Hours) Employment Type: Full Time Industry: Apparel Manufacturing Role Overview We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Sales Analyst to support business performance through sales reporting, inventory analysis, merchandise planning, and business intelligence initiatives. The successful candidate will play a critical role in transforming data into actionable insights by developing reports, dashboards, sales forecasts, and financial merchandise plans that support operational decision-making and business growth. This role is ideal for a data-driven professional who enjoys problem-solving, process improvement, and working within a fast-paced international business environment. Key Responsibilities Create and maintain daily and weekly sales reports to support business performance monitoring. Design, develop, and generate ad-hoc reports required for management reviews and market meetings. Analyze sales trends and performance data to provide meaningful business insights. Manage inventory analysis, sales forecasting, and financial merchandise planning activities. Monitor stock levels and provide recommendations to optimize inventory performance and profitability. Create business intelligence reports that provide visibility into key operational and financial metrics. Develop dashboards, automated reports, macros, and analytical tools to improve reporting efficiency. Identify reporting gaps, process inefficiencies, and business improvement opportunities. Act as an escalation point to identify root causes of issues and implement effective analytical solutions. Provide data-driven insights that support operational, commercial, and strategic decision-making. Work closely with cross-functional teams to support business planning and performance management initiatives. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to reporting, analytics, and business performance monitoring. Candidate Profile Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Statistics , or a related discipline. Minimum 3 years of experience in Retail Planning, Merchandise Planning, Allocation, Financial Analysis, or a similar analytical role. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation capabilities. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel , including formulas, pivot tables, charts, graphs, and financial reporting. Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau , or other business intelligence platforms will be an advantage. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to work effectively in a high-performance, cross-functional environment with demanding timelines. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under pressure. Self-motivated, resourceful, and capable of working independently as well as within a team environment.
