Job title: SPS Engineering & Technical Lead Sector: Oil & Gas Starting date : 12/10/2026 Duration : 12 months Renewable : Yes Location: Paris Status: Resident Language: Fluent in English & French ROLE OVERVIEW COMSIP is seeking an experienced SPS Engineering & Technical Lead to lead the engineering and technical activities of a major offshore Subsea Production Systems package. The position covers the full project lifecycle, from engineering definition and contractor document review through fabrication, testing, installation readiness, pre-commissioning and commissioning. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Lead all engineering and technical activities related to the SPS package and ensure technical consistency throughout the project lifecycle. • Define, develop, issue and maintain the required SPS engineering and technical documentation, while contributing to key project management documentation. • Identify and coordinate the studies, surveys and technical investigations required for engineering, fabrication, testing, installation and offshore operations. • Review and validate contractor documentation, technical queries, deviation requests and proposed design solutions in a timely manner. • Coordinate technical alignment with specialists, project entities, contractors and suppliers, particularly when deviations from applicable requirements are identified. • Ensure that HSE and Quality requirements are correctly addressed in all technical documentation and project activities. • Challenge unacceptable, unsupported or unjustified design choices that may affect equipment fabrication, installation, reliability or production performance. • Supervise and control the fabrication and testing of SPS equipment across multiple fabrication yards, ensuring compliance with contractual, QA/QC and HSE requirements. • Ensure the readiness of SPS equipment for onshore and offshore operations, in coordination with the relevant project teams and interfacing packages. • Participate in design reviews, technical reviews, workshops and project committees as required. • Provide accurate and timely reporting to the SPS Package Manager, highlighting progress, risks, concerns, decisions and technical issues. • Track variation requests against the initial SPS scope and support their technical and commercial assessment. • Capture lessons learned and contribute to project close-out activities and reporting. MAIN INTERFACES The role requires close coordination with drilling and completion, umbilicals, flowlines and risers, field operations, project controls, quality, HSE, contractor engineering teams, fabrication yards and specialist technical disciplines. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED • Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification. • Minimum 20 years of professional experience in offshore Oil & Gas projects. • Minimum 10 years of relevant project experience. • Extensive engineering and technical expertise in deepwater and shallow-water SPS projects. • Proven experience covering engineering, fabrication, construction, testing, qualification, pre-commissioning and commissioning of subsea equipment. • Strong knowledge of international codes, standards and specifications applicable to Subsea Production Systems. • Fluent English and French.
