The Business Development takes ownership of commercial development and the follow-up of opportunities in France. The role develops the national pipeline, consolidates our proposals across departments, and keeps continuous, senior-level engagement with all new key local target accounts (day to day will be 10+) CTS Europe France is a small team (six people in the French office) backed by CTS Group, a 2,500-person organisation with almost ten years of data center delivery. The day-to-day feel is close to a start-up – short decision lines, broad scope, processes being built – but with the accountability of a subsidiary: existing clients and partners, Group standards and accounts to give back to the Group. This role is at the centre of that hybrid model: building new local business while making full use of the Group's references, partners and existing client relationships. Key Responsibilities Responsibilities of the Business Development include: Local Pipeline Development · Build, qualify and manage the French pipeline of data center and mission-critical opportunities. · Stay continuously engaged with key local target accounts: their plans, sites, timelines and decision-makers. · Monitor the French market: new campus projects, grid connections, permitting and investor activity. · Keep the CRM and pipeline reporting accurate. Proposal Consolidation · Bring together input from Operations, Engineering, Procurement and the Group into one coherent CTS proposal. · Run the bid process: go/no-go, bid planning, pricing reviews, submission, clarifications and negotiation support. · Brief and debrief bid teams and feed lessons learned into future bids. Engagement Management · Nurture existing partner relationships, including those that come through the Group. · Represent CTS at industry events and networks in France. HSE Leadership · Respects the processes and practices of CTS EUROPE FRANCE. · Applies the CTS EUROPE FRANCE HSE policy and, more generally, French labour law (Code du travail). Authorities · Leads commercial engagement with prospects and target accounts on behalf of the CEO. · Coordinates contributors from all departments for bids and proposals where necessary. · Proposes go/no-go decisions and commercial positions. Education · Engineering, business school or university degree. · French: native or professional working proficiency. · English: native or professional working proficiency. Functional Knowledge and Skills · 7+ years in business development, bid or account management. · Solid understanding of construction delivery, enough to shape credible proposals with technical teams. · Proficient with CRM tools and pipeline reporting. · Strong writing and presentation skills. Experience Requirements · Business development in construction, MEP or data centers. · An established network in the French data center / mission-critical market is a strong advantage. · Experience managing complex, multi-department bids. Soft Skills · Entrepreneurial and self-driven; at ease building from scratch. · Persuasive and credible. Can identify levers and present then convincingly · Excellent relationship and communication skills. · Organised and persistent in follow-up.
