Senior Risk Manager

About the role In this role, you will manage operational, financial, liquidity, and foreign exchange risks associated with high-risk payments. You will monitor the financial stability of banks, payment service providers, and gateways, ensuring compliance with European and international regulations such as PSD2 and PSD3. You will work within a hybrid team environment, collaborating with stakeholders across European and Asian markets. Success in this position will require a proactive approach to risk assessment and management, as well as the ability to adapt to regulatory changes and market dynamics. Excel : Advanced Excel skills are required for analyzing financial data and risk exposure. SQL : Knowledge of SQL is beneficial for managing and querying data related to risk. AI tools : Familiarity with AI tools can enhance risk analysis and management processes. Who this role suits A professional with over three years of experience in risk management, particularly in iGaming or FinTech. Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can navigate regulatory frameworks effectively. A detail-oriented individual who can analyze complex financial data and assess risk exposure. Fluency in English and Russian is ideal for communicating across diverse markets. From the employer Manage operational, financial, liquidity, and FX risks in high-risk payments. Monitor balances, exposure, and financial stability of banks, PSPs, and gateways. Align risk management with European and international regulations (PSD2/PSD3). 3+ years in Risk Management (iGaming, high-risk payments, FinTech, PSP, acquiring). Deep understanding of payment processing, APMs, Visa/Mastercard, and cross-border settlements. Exposure to European and/or APAC markets is a strong advantage. Knowledge of PSD2/PSD3 and EBA guidelines is a plus. English — Upper-Intermediate+, Russian — Fluent. Advanced Excel; SQL or AI tools are a plus.
