Graphic Designer – learning resources and digital media Role purpose Create high-quality, accessible visual assets for learning resources, digital courses, animation and video production, working from approved briefs, storyboards, templates and brand guidelines. Key responsibilities Create diagrams, infographics, icons, illustrations and other educational graphics. Design layouts and visual assets for digital and print learning resources. Prepare characters, backgrounds and layered assets for animation and motion graphics. Prepare and optimise assets for Rise, Storyline, H5P, video and LMS delivery. Apply client branding, templates and design systems consistently. Interpret learning-design briefs and visual-production storyboards. Maintain organised, editable and transferable source files. Complete quality self-checks and respond accurately to feedback. Collaborate with Learning Designers, Digital Learning Developers, animators and project leads. Essential requirements Advanced Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop capability. Strong capability in typography, composition, hierarchy, colour and layout. Experience creating educational, instructional or information-based graphics. Ability to translate written content into clear visual communication. Experience preparing layered assets for animation. Understanding of image formats, resolution, compression and optimisation. Strong attention to detail and source-file management. Strong written English and ability to follow detailed production instructions. Desirable requirements Experience with Adobe InDesign. Experience designing for adult learning, vocational education or workplace training. Understanding of WCAG 2.1 or 2.2 Level AA. Illustration, character or environment-design capability.
