Front End Developer Job title: Front End Developer Location: Sofia Overview of the role: Amaze is a casino game development studio within Flutter Studios that creates innovative slot games, card & table games, and instant win products for Flutter's casino brands globally. We combine deep sector knowledge with creative expertise to design games that deliver thrilling player experiences. Our focus is on blending cutting-edge innovation with player insights to develop high-quality games that perform across diverse markets. As part of the continued growth of our Game Client Development team, we are seeking a Front End Developer to help us build high-quality online slot games. You’ll play an important role in turning creative ideas into engaging and polished player experiences. You’ll work as part of a multidisciplinary team that brings together engineering, game design, art, animation and sound. Using our development workflow, you’ll help us deliver games that combine creativity with strong technical execution. You’ll join a team of experienced and supportive colleagues who share a passion for casino games, technical excellence and outstanding player experiences. This role follows a hybrid approach to working, allowing you to combine working from home with working in our modern offices. These discussions are between you and your manager to find the best pattern for you both, while recognising that quality time together is essential for keeping us mission-aligned. What you’ll do: Develop clean, efficient and reusable code for online slot games and shared game modules using Haxe and our in-house technologies Turn creative designs and game concepts into smooth and responsive player experiences, balancing visual quality with technical performance Build and implement game features and behaviors, ensuring they work reliably across supported devices and platforms Collaborate with game designers, animators, artists, sound designers and fellow engineers to bring game concepts to life Work with our in-house runtime and domain-specific language (DSL) to develop and integrate game functionality Write maintainable and extensible code, contributing to shared components and solutions that can be reused across multiple games Test, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues throughout development to maintain the quality and reliability of our games Contribute to the continuous improvement of our Game Client development workflow, tools and engineering practices Support modernize and evolve our technology stack, exploring and adopting new technologies and approaches alongside our existing Haxe based solutions Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing, helping maintain consistent engineering standards across the team What you’ll bring: Core Experience & Technical Skills: Proven experience with TypeScript and JavaScript, with a solid understanding of modern front-end development principles Experience developing front-end applications or interactive user experiences, with a focus on quality, responsiveness and performance Ability to write clean, maintainable and reusable code, with a good understanding of software development best practices Good understanding of UI/UX principles and how they translate into polished interactive experiences Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve technical issues Understanding of performance considerations in front-end development, particularly for interactive and visually rich applications Experience working with source control and collaborative development workflows, such as Git and code reviews Professional Competencies: Great attention to detail with a strong focus on quality and polished player experiences Strong problem-solving skills and a practical approach to technical challenges Good communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across different disciplines Ability to take ownership of development tasks and deliver them to a high standard Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities within a fast-paced game development environment Willingness to learn new technologies, frameworks and in-house tools and adapt as our technology stack continues to evolve Curiosity and a continuous improvement mindset, with an interest in improving both the codebase and the way we build games Nice to have: Experience with Haxe or similar cross-platform technologies Previous experience in game development, particularly browser-based or online games Experience with 2D graphics, animation or rendering technologies Familiarity with tools such as Spine 2D, Adobe Animate or Photoshop Experience working with game engines, interactive frameworks or custom runtimes Knowledge or experience of online gaming or casino/slot games It’s ok if you don’t think you tick every box on this list.
