Enterprise Architect – Cloud DevOps / Microsoft Azure Requirement ID: 10878595 Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands Start Date: ASAP Duration: 6 Months Experience: 8–10 years Employment Type: Contract Language: Dutch & English About the Role We are looking for an experienced Enterprise Architect with strong Cloud DevOps and Microsoft Azure expertise to design, implement, and improve secure, scalable cloud infrastructure and deployment solutions. The successful candidate will play a key role in establishing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, cloud monitoring, automation, and DevOps best practices using Azure DevOps and Microsoft Azure. You will work closely with engineering, application, infrastructure, and delivery teams to ensure reliable and secure end-to-end application delivery. Key Responsibilities Design, build, improve, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps . Establish and promote automated DevOps release management processes. Drive a Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery mindset across development and delivery teams. Manage code deployments, fixes, updates, releases, and related processes. Improve infrastructure through automation, including: Build and deployment automation Provisioning Rollback processes Infrastructure forecasting Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions. Use and maintain ARM Templates and Terraform for infrastructure provisioning. Establish and implement DevOps best practices in collaboration with technical experts. Integrate CI/CD pipelines with SAST and code-quality tools such as SonarQube . Implement secure and reliable source-control workflows using Git . Define and manage Git repository structures, branching strategies, and pull-request workflows. Implement and improve application monitoring, dashboarding, and alerting. Use Azure-native monitoring services for application-level insights, including: Azure Monitor Application Insights Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve application and deployment defects. Support projects and delivery teams with technical issues and solution design. Design and deliver secure end-to-end solutions across: Infrastructure Applications Data Continuously evaluate and adopt relevant new technologies and DevOps practices. Share knowledge and support colleagues in adopting new technologies and best practices. Essential Skills & Experience 8+ years of relevant IT experience , preferably in enterprise architecture, DevOps, cloud engineering, or related roles. Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure . Extensive experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines. Strong knowledge of Git , including: Repository setup Branching strategies Pull requests Code-management workflows Strong scripting experience with PowerShell and/or Bash . Strong Infrastructure as Code experience with: Terraform ARM Templates Experience integrating CI/CD pipelines with SAST tools , particularly SonarQube . Strong experience with Azure monitoring and logging, including: Azure Monitor Application Insights Good knowledge of Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) . Strong understanding of DevOps principles and continuous delivery practices. Experience troubleshooting application and infrastructure issues. Ability to design secure and scalable cloud solutions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability and willingness to learn and adopt emerging technologies. Dutch language proficiency is required. Desirable Skills Experience with Docker . Experience with Kubernetes and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) . Experience with Azure Container Registry (ACR) . Ability to troubleshoot: AKS environments Docker containers Kubernetes clusters Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert or equivalent Azure DevOps certification. Strong ability to simplify complex technical concepts and explain them clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
