Elevate your career with FinanSys, a trailblazing company boasting a 28+ year track record in innovation. As pioneers of next-gen finance automation software, we're determined to lead the future of finance automation and robotic accounting. We invite you to be part of this first-of-its-kind software and help forge the future of finance.
Our company ethos is centred around our staff and based on three pillars:
1. Happiness : Employee happiness is very important to us and as a management team we ensure the decisions we take help employees to thrive in the workplace. This focus on our staff provides our clients with unparalleled service.
2. Security : FinanSys is funded by years of reserve building without the need for investors or the need to sell the business. This allows us to provide continuity and security for staff and customers. During the Covid-19 pandemic, we avoided putting any team members on furlough.

About UniFi
UniFi is a financial process automation platform. Finance teams use it to build the processes their ERP does not cover: purchase-to-pay, period close, asset management, approvals; and every one of those processes ends in a posted accounting entry, not a spreadsheet. It runs alongside the ERP a company already has. One price, unlimited applications.
UniFi is built on .NET and React, running on AWS with PostgreSQL (Aurora) and SQL Server underneath, with CI/CD in Azure DevOps. It has an established customer base and we are now taking it to market on its own, beyond our SunSystems and NetSuite base.
About the role
You will be the first Head of Product for UniFi. You own what the product becomes: the roadmap, the release cadence, the team that builds and delivers it, and the case for UniFi with customers and prospects.
You will lead Research and Development: Lead Developer, and the UniFi consultants who build use cases for customers.
This is a hands-on role. UniFi is an established product with a solid customer base. Your job is to decide where it goes next and take it there. 🚀
Role responsibilities
Own the UniFi roadmap and decide what gets built, what does not, and why
Set the release cadence and decide what goes into each release
Be accountable for the platform's performance and stability to customers and the CEO, with the Lead Engineer owning the fix
Lead, hire and develop the product, engineering and consulting team
Present UniFi to prospects and customers, and own usage and expansion across the existing customer base
Know the Office of the CFO well enough to state UniFi's value to a Financial Controller, a Head of Procurement and a CFO, in their terms, within your first month
Track and grow the number that matters: applications per customer
About the candidate
What You Bring
You know the Office of the CFO from the inside: what finance teams do, what they are responsible for, and where their work gets hard.
You have worked hands-on with an ERP, FMS or similar finance system.
You have spent 8 to 12 years in product roles in B2B software.
You have led a team of four or more.
You are technical enough to read an API specification, follow an architecture discussion and challenge engineers on trade-offs.
You have direct contact with customers and turn what learnings into product decisions.
You speak fluent English and are comfortable working UK hours.
It Would Help If You Have
An accounting qualification (ACCA or similar), part or full, or equivalent experience
Experience building for finance teams: journal postings, period close, auditable workflows
Experience leading teams through change
An accounting or consulting background before moving into product
Experience setting up product management where none existed before
Experience improving the performance and reliability of an established platform
What we offer
Competitive salary
Performance bonus after probation, based on UniFi customers, uptime and use-case adoption
Potential for company shares in future
Friendly, open, and international team culture
Regular team meetups (depending on your location)
Sick leave and compassionate leave to support you when you need it most
Equipment provided to ensure you have everything you need to do your best work
33 days of paid holidays (including UK bank holidays)
